De Betties & Ardentis Quartet
Huis Perrekes considers the great moments of truth, referring to its long tradition of interweaving art and culture with everyday life.
The basis is appealing to, strengthening and connecting everyone’s abilities, with the ultimate objective of stimulating collective awareness and encouraging participation.
The Betties are an intergenerational choir with 70 members. By literally making their voices heard, they put dementia on the social agenda and engage with culture in the broadest sense. The endeavour is supported musically by music therapists who work at Huis Perrekes on a daily basis. They create their own compositions and arrangements tailored to the choir and musicians. Daily life is the source of inspiration for both the words and the music.
People of all ages are enthusiastic singers: schoolchildren, residents and guests of Huis Perrekes, family members, staff, volunteers and supporters. The concert will once again be accompanied by the Ardentis Quartet, the cello quartet that was formed during Musica Divina 2025 in Oosterlo.
