Quis ego domine
a nocte temporis, Reinoud Van Mechelen
After several programmes with profane cantatas, a nocte temporis concentrates in Quis ego domine on sacred music in a chamber music context. Tenor Reinoud Van Mechelen made a fine selection for this purpose from the motet books of André Campra, a priest from Aix-en-Provence who initially excelled in composing religious music and later devoted himself to opera. To this selection, motets by the discoverable master François Joseph Salomon are added.
