Transitions is an evening in seven chapters, performed by three top soloists and a video artist. It is a play with identities, cultures, musical styles and expectations between trance and ecstasy. Questions about spirituality, roles and traditions are raised and interwoven in a surprising way. This through a musical world that ranges from Arab and Turkish maqams, North Indian classical dhrupad singing to Bach and gamba music from the time of Louis XIV.
