Voyage of Time
Terrence Malick
To call the director Terrence Malick a master of his art would be an understatement. Words fall short in describing his 2016 experimental documentary film Voyage of Time. Beyond any doubt, the cinematography is impressive. However the film is far more than an aesthetic tour de force. It explores the birth and death of our familiar universe based on the emergence and ultimate collapse of time. This existential meditation takes us on a journey from the infinite emptiness of the cosmos to the swarming microscopic life on our planet.
