To our great regret, Norwegian violinist Benedicte Maurseth is unable to travel to Belgium due to the stricter corona measures. But Benjamin Glorieux will expand the concert programme. He will not only perform the first and second, but also the third suite for cello by Johann Sebastian Bach.

The Norwegian Benedicte Maurseth is one of the world’s great players of the Hardanger fiddle, with the masterly cellist Benjamin Glorieux at her side. The pair are both musical explorers, two souls in search of the truth, goodness and beauty encapsulated in sound. They will walk a little way along this road together at this concert. Music from the far north enters into dialogue with Johann Sebastian Bach’s notorious first two cello suites.
